There is no data protection officer. The site is run by one person and meets none of the conditions in Article 37 GDPR that would require one, so the address above reaches the person who actually decides what happens to your data — not a queue.

What we process

The countdowns run entirely in your browser using your device’s clock. We do not collect, store or transmit any personal data from the countdown tools. The countdown itself needs no account and no sign-up, and there is no newsletter. An account exists only if you make one — see Accounts and Pro below.

What your browser keeps, and only on your own device:

• Theme preference — one localStorage entry remembering whether you chose the light or dark theme. It never leaves your device and you can clear it with your browser data.
• The address bar — when a countdown supports a shareable link, your inputs are written into the URL so the link reproduces the result. Nothing is sent to us; the values live in the link you choose to share.

Pages opened in embed mode (?embed=1) load no advertising script at all.

Advertising and cookies

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to personalize ads and measure their performance.

• Visitors from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom see a consent banner (Google’s certified consent management platform) on first visit, where personalized advertising can be accepted or declined.
• You can change your choices at any time in Google’s ad settings at adssettings.google.com.

Analytics

We use only aggregated, anonymized traffic statistics without tracking individual visitors.

Email reminders

If you ask us to remind you before a countdown, we store your email address, which event you picked, and how far ahead you want to be told. Nothing else — no name, no location, no profile.

Here is exactly how it works:

• Nothing is stored until you confirm. When you submit the form we send one email with a confirmation link. If you never click it, the request is deleted automatically within seven days and you hear from us once, never again. This also means nobody can sign your address up without access to your inbox.
• We email you only about the reminder you asked for. No newsletter, no offers, no “we miss you” messages.
• Unsubscribing deletes your address. Every reminder carries an unsubscribe link, and Gmail and Outlook can unsubscribe you straight from the message header. Either way the record is removed, not just muted — there is no dormant copy left behind.
• We keep it only while the reminder is live. The legal basis is your consent, and the confirmation click is our record of it.
• Reminders are delivered by ZeptoMail (Zoho, servers in the EU), who process your address on our behalf purely to deliver the message. The emails carry no tracking pixels, so we do not know whether you opened them.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and erase your data, and to object to processing. If you have set up an email reminder, the fastest way to erase it is the unsubscribe link in any reminder email — it deletes the record immediately. You can also contact us and we will do it for you. Everything else on this site is processed by Google — use the links above to exercise those rights.

Accounts and Pro

You can use everything on this site without an account. An account only exists if you make one.

What an account holds. Your email address. That is the whole profile — no name, no password, no address, no phone number. Passwords do not exist here: you sign in with a one-time link we email you.

Why we hold it. To sign you in, to keep the setups you save, and to send the alerts you ask for. The legal basis is performance of the contract you entered into by creating the account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for the marketing-free service emails we send about your own account, our legitimate interest in operating it (Art. 6(1)(f)).

What else gets stored, and for how long.

Sign-in links and session tokens are stored hashed, never in readable form. Somebody who obtained the database still could not sign in as you.

Cookies. The sign-in cookie is strictly necessary and does not need consent. It is HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, and it is set only after you sign in. Advertising and analytics cookies are separate and governed by the consent banner.

Payments. We do not process payments and never see your card. Payment is handled by our payment provider Polar, acting as merchant of record; Polar receives your email address, your billing country and your payment details directly, and is the controller for that data. We receive back only: that a payment succeeded, which plan, when it renews, and an order reference.

Sending email. Sign-in links, alerts and reminders go out through ZeptoMail (Zoho), acting as our processor, with servers in the EU. They receive your email address and the message.

Your rights. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Two of them are buttons on your account page, with no need to ask anyone:

• Download everything — a JSON file with every record we hold about you.
• Delete account — immediate, permanent, and it really deletes rather than marking a row inactive.

For anything else, write to us. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in Slovakia, the Office for Personal Data Protection.

International transfers. The database is on a server in the EU. Where a processor is outside the EEA, the transfer runs on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
