When exactly is Anzac Day?
Anzac Day, on April 25, is the national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand. It marks the 1915 landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps at Gallipoli.
The day begins before sunrise with dawn services, followed by marches and, traditionally, games of two-up in pubs. It is a public holiday in both countries and one of the few days when almost everything closes in the morning.
