How the weekday moves each year
A date does not keep its weekday, and the jump is not always one day.

The 28-year cycle holds within a century but breaks at 1900 and 2100, which are not leap years.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the weekday jump two days some years?
A common year is 365 days, which is 52 weeks and one day. A leap year is 366, which is two days. So the weekday moves one, except across a February 29 when it moves two.
What about February 29 birthdays?
The tool keeps 29 February and skips to it only in leap years, so the list shows real dates rather than an invented 1 March.
